Admissions

Your recovery journey starts with a single call. We handle the rest.

Start Your Journey

Taking the first step toward treatment is often the hardest part of recovery, and our admissions team is here to make it as simple and stress-free as possible. From your very first call, you'll speak with a compassionate specialist who understands what you're going through and will guide you through every step.

We accept admissions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and most clients are able to begin treatment within 24 to 48 hours of their initial call. Our team handles insurance verification, travel coordination, and all the details so you can focus on what matters most: getting well.

Whether you're seeking treatment for yourself or a loved one, we encourage you to reach out today. Every conversation is completely confidential, and there is never any obligation. Call us at (209) 440-0020 to start the process.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long does treatment last?

Treatment length is tailored to each individual's clinical needs. Medical detox generally requires 3 to 10 days. Residential stays range from 30 to 90 days, with longer stays available when clinically appropriate. Our IOP runs 8 to 14 weeks, and standard outpatient continues for as long as it supports your progress. Your care team reviews your plan regularly to ensure the timeline aligns with your recovery trajectory.

Do you accept my insurance?

We work with most major insurance carriers, including Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, Humana, Magellan, Tricare, VA Community Care, Medicare, and Medi-Cal. Our admissions coordinators verify your specific benefits quickly and explain coverage details, estimated out-of-pocket costs, and any available payment arrangements before you commit to treatment.

Is detox medically supervised?

Absolutely. Our detox unit operates under continuous physician and nursing oversight every hour of every day. Dr. Fatima Al-Rashid, our Medical Director, leads a team of addiction medicine specialists who monitor patients at all times, administer medication-assisted treatment when appropriate, and maintain strict safety protocols throughout the withdrawal stabilization process.

Can I continue working during treatment?

Our outpatient and intensive outpatient programs are designed with scheduling flexibility so that San Diego-area clients can maintain work and family obligations. Additionally, our executive recovery track within the residential program offers private accommodations, secure communication access, and flexible scheduling for professionals who need treatment but cannot fully step away from their careers.

Do you offer specialized programming for veterans and military families?

Yes. MMH Rehab was founded with a veteran-focused mission, and military-connected care remains central to our identity. We offer dedicated veteran and first-responder tracks that address combat-related PTSD, moral injury, military sexual trauma, and transition-related substance use. We accept Tricare and VA Community Care referrals, and our clinical staff includes professionals with direct military behavioral health experience.

What makes MMH Rehab different from other treatment centers?

Several things set us apart: our coastal campus on Voltaire St in Point Loma, our veteran-focused programming rooted in military resilience frameworks, dedicated tracks for active-duty personnel and first responders, and 18 years of clinical experience treating over 11,400 patients with a team of 115 professionals. We combine evidence-based clinical care with the natural healing environment of the Southern California coast to offer an experience that is both clinically rigorous and personally restorative.

Can family members visit during treatment?

Family participation is integral to our model. Residential patients take part in structured family therapy sessions, have designated visiting hours on weekends, and maintain scheduled phone contact. Our clinicians also guide family members through psychoeducation on addiction, healthy boundary-setting, and preparation for their loved one's return home.
